Our run off season in Weipa begins in late April. we then operate through till the end of June. Weipa is the central hub where we pick guests up from and then travel to rivers north and south of Weipa, Archer river and Wenlock river. unlike the princess Charlotte bay trips we will travel the night before your trip to the rivers and return the night after the last day of fishing.

Princess Charlotte Bay,

situated on the north east coast of Queensland is home to some amazing floodplains that all lead to multiple rivers that make up Princess Charlotte Bay. During the run off season (after the monsoonal wet season) these rivers are full of Barramundi, Threadfin salmon, Mangrove Jack and large Mud Crabs. Not only is there amazing run off Barramundi fishing, the coastal islands are only a stones throw away where topwater GT fishing and jigging for Large Mouth Nannygai and Coral Trout are possible.

Princess Charlotte Bay trips run through the month of April and May, Weather dependant, this time of the year is our cyclone season, so travel insurance is a must when booking this trips. Refer to our calendar for our scheduled trips.

Departures

Princess Charlotte bay trips require a car transfer from cairns which is about 6 hours. there is an option of helicopter transfers also. will pick you up from the rivers and start fishing the next day.

Trips include:

2 fishing tenders, 19 foot sportsman centre console fitted with cast decks, 80lb motor guide and latest simrad side scan and active target technology. Second fishing vessel is a heweslight tackle 20. With massive casting decks it makes this an unreal sportfishing vessel.
